Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before placing your order — from sizing and production to shipping and returns. Clear answers to help you feel confident at every step.

Brand Basics

Is Piondress a legit wedding dress brand?

Yes. Piondress is an independent bridal brand creating wedding dresses since 2014. We have helped over 8,000 brides worldwide. Each order is handled personally from the first message through to delivery.

You can learn more about our story on the About page.

Can I see real bride photos and customer reviews?

Yes. You can visit our Brides section to see real photos from Piondress brides and weddings. You can also read verified customer reviews in our Reviews section, where brides share feedback about fit, quality, and their experience with different dresses. Most product pages also include bride photos and customer reviews, so you can see how each dress looks and feels in real life.

Are your dresses made to order or ready to ship?

All of our dresses are made to order.

Standard production time is included in the price. We also offer a rush production option for an additional fee. Please note that expedited production refers to production time only and does not include delivery time.

How far in advance do I need to place my order?

We recommend placing your order 3–5 months before your wedding date. This allows enough time for dress production, shipping including a buffer for possible delays, and minor alterations if needed for the best fit.

Please note that production time starts from the moment we receive your measurements, not from the date the order is placed.

Which currency are prices shown in?

All prices are shown in USD. If you are paying in another currency, your bank will automatically convert the amount based on the current exchange rate.

What fabrics are Piondress wedding dresses made from?

We use high-quality, carefully selected synthetic bridal fabrics such as satin, chiffon, tulle, lace, and organza. These fabrics are chosen for their smooth appearance, soft movement, durability, and ability to hold the shape of each design. Each product page clearly specifies the exact materials used for that design, so you can check details before ordering.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you ship worldwide?

We ship worldwide, and delivery times depend on the destination country.

How much do I pay for delivery?

Delivery for all dresses is completely free of charge. At the moment, we ship all orders to the U.S. and the EU on a Delivery Duties Paid (DDP) basis. This means the price you see is final — no hidden fees, no unexpected customs charges upon delivery.

For international orders outside the EU and U.S., import taxes or customs duties may apply depending on your country’s regulations. While we cannot guarantee that such fees will not be charged, we always do our best to minimize or avoid them whenever possible.

For more details, please refer to our shipping policy.

Where do you ship from?

Orders are dispatched via Poland to ensure smooth international delivery and to help avoid import duties for customers in the EU and the United States.

How long does shipping take?

Delivery times depend on your location and the efficiency of your local postal service. Generally, delivery to the USA, Europe, Canada takes about 5–10 business days, Asia and Australia approximately 5–10 business days.

Please note that delivery times may be longer for remote locations and such delays are beyond our control.

You can get in touch with us anytime to get an estimated delivery time for your country before placing your order.

Will I need to pay any tariffs or extra fees in the U.S.?

No, you don’t. All U.S. orders are shipped Delivery Duties Paid (DDP). This means the price you see is final — no hidden fees, no unexpected duties at delivery.

Do I need to pay customs or taxes in the EU?

No. When your order is delivered to an address within the European Union, there are no import duties or customs fees. Shipping in the EU is free, and the price you see is the final price — nothing extra at delivery.

What should I do if my billing and shipping addresses are different?

Please enter your billing address in the billing section at checkout. Then, in the “Additional information” (order notes) field, write your shipping address in full. Once we receive your order, we will update the shipping address manually on our side.

Sizing & Fit

How do I work out my size?

You can start by referring to our size chart available on each product page.

If your measurements match one of our standard sizes and your height is around 162–172 cm / 5’4″–5’8″, you can choose Standard Size.

If you are between sizes, slightly shorter or taller than the standard height range, or would like small adjustments to the dress length or fit, Adjusted Fit may be a better option. This option is recommended for brides around 155–178 cm / 5’1″–5’10”.

If your height is outside this range, your measurements do not match the size chart closely, or you would like the most personalized fit, we recommend choosing Custom Fit. With this option, the dress is made according to your individual measurements.

If you’re unsure, feel free to email us — we’ll be happy to guide you.

Which size option is best for me: Standard Size, Adjusted Fit, or Custom Fit?

Standard Size is a good choice if your measurements are close to our size chart and your height is around 162–172 cm / 5’4″–5’8″. Minor local alterations may still be needed for the best overall fit, which is very common for bridal dresses.

Adjusted Fit is our most popular option and works best for many brides, especially if you are between sizes, slightly shorter or taller than our standard height range, or would like small adjustments to the dress length or fit. This option is recommended for brides around 155–178 cm / 5’1″–5’10″. It allows small adjustments such as bust, waist, hips, skirt and sleeve length, while keeping the original design and construction. Adjusted Fit improves the fit, but it is not a fully custom-made dress. After your order, your personal manager will guide you through the measurement process step by step.

Custom Fit is ideal if you are outside the Adjusted Fit height range, if your measurements do not match the size chart closely, or if you are looking for a more precise, personalized fit. We use an extended set of measurements, up to 20–22 depending on the design, to create the dress for your proportions. Your personal manager will support you throughout the process after your order.

I'm sort of in between sizes, what do I do?

That’s very common 😊

In this case, we usually recommend choosing Adjusted Fit, as it allows small adjustments (such as bust, waist, or length) for a better fit while keeping the original design.

If you’re unsure, feel free to email us —  we’ll be happy to help you choose the best option.

How do I provide my measurements for Adjusted Fit or Custom Fit?

You don’t need to add your measurements during checkout. After you place your order, your personal manager will contact you by email and guide you through the measurement process step by step.

Do you offer try-on at home service?

We don’t offer a try-on at home service, as all of our dresses are made to order.

Each gown is individually sewn in Standard Size or Adjusted Fit (both eligible for return in accordance with our return policy), or as Custom Fit based on your measurements (non-returnable).

Do you charge extra for plus size?

No, of course not. With the exception for a few designs we can offer you a size range up to US 22 (EUR 54) for the most of our dresses without any extra fees. However please pay your attention that sizes above US 14 (EUR 46) are considered as custom and cannot be returned according to our return policy.

Will I need alterations after I receive my dress?

For Standard Size, minor local alterations are very common to achieve the best fit, as each body has its own proportions.

For Adjusted Fit and Custom Fit, we follow your measurements carefully, but small adjustments may still be needed after delivery. This is a normal part of bridal tailoring, as fabric, posture, and undergarments can affect the final fit.

All adjustments should be done by a local seamstress or tailor, as we do not accept dresses back for alterations.

Customization & Design

Can I customize or make small changes to an existing dress?

Yes — this is our most common customization request. Many brides ask to adjust the neckline shape, sleeve style or length, back coverage, train length, dress length, or selected fabric details on an existing Piondress design. Small changes start from $50, depending on the alteration. Please fill out our customization form or email us with the details, and we’ll confirm what is possible and the price.

Do custom changes to a dress cost extra?

Yes, custom changes may involve an additional cost depending on the complexity of the alteration. If you have specific wishes, please contact us with the details — we’ll be happy to discuss all possibilities with you and provide an exact quote.

Can I order a custom wedding dress from Piondress?

Yes. You can personalize many dresses from our collection by adjusting the neckline, sleeves, back design, train, length, or selected fabric details. We also accept fully custom wedding dress requests created from your ideas and reference photos. Custom designs start from $900. To get started, please fill out our customization form or email us directly so we can review your request and confirm what is possible.

Do you make modest wedding dresses?

Yes. Modest wedding dresses are one of our core design directions. Piondress offers a dedicated modest wedding dress collection with long sleeves, covered backs, high necklines, boat necklines, and floor-length skirts in chiffon, crepe, satin, tulle, and lace. Many styles can also be customized for additional coverage, such as longer sleeves, a higher neckline, or a more covered back.

Returns & Exchanges

What's your return policy?

Standard Size and Adjusted Fit dresses are eligible for return in accordance with our return policy.

Custom Fit dresses and dresses with design changes are non-returnable.

For full details, please see our return policy.

Will I receive a full refund when returning a dress?

If you return a dress made with standard tailoring time, a 10% processing fee will be deducted from your refund.

If rush tailoring was selected, 20% of the order total is non-refundable.

Can I return a customized dress?

Dresses with design changes are non-returnable, as they are customized beyond the original style.

Custom Fit dresses are also non-returnable, as they are made based on your individual measurements.

I'd like to exchange the dress, what do I do?

We don’t offer direct exchanges, but you’re welcome to place a new order and return your original dress in accordance with our return policy.

You can either wait for your refund before placing a new order, or place a new order first and return the previous one afterward.

Please also contact your personal manager — they’ll be happy to guide you through the process.

In any case please don’t forget to read our return policy.
