About Our Sizing
- Each Piondress gown is made to order in our studio after your order is placed. We don’t keep ready-made stock — this allows every dress to be crafted with care, attention to detail, and the right sizing option for each bride.
- You can choose from three sizing options: Standard Size, Adjusted Fit, or Custom Fit.
How to Choose Your Size
- Sizes can vary slightly between brands, so it’s always best to check your own measurements against our size chart.
- If your measurements fall between two sizes, or if your height is outside our standard range, Adjusted Fit or Custom Fit may be a better option than simply choosing a larger standard size.
- Your height affects the overall proportions of the dress — not just the skirt length, but also the bodice length, waist placement, and sleeve length.
- If you’re unsure which size to select, just send us your bust, waist, and height, and we’ll gladly help you choose the right one.
- For most A-line gowns, the hip measurement is less important. However, for fitted silhouettes, please measure your hips accurately.
Standard Size — returnable
- Our Standard Size option follows the Piondress size chart.
- This option is best if your bust, waist, and hips match one standard size well, and your height is around 162–172 cm / 5’4″–5’8″. If you are petite, tall, or between sizes, we recommend choosing Adjusted Fit or Custom Fit. Minor local alterations may still be needed after delivery for the best fit.
Adjusted Fit — returnable
- Adjusted Fit is based on the closest standard size, with small adjustments to length or fit.
- This option is best if you are petite, tall, or between sizes, and only need small changes such as skirt length, sleeve length, or slight bust, waist, or hip adjustments within one size range.
- Adjusted Fit is not the same as Custom Fit. We still start from a standard size and make small corrections to improve the fit and proportions.
- This option is recommended for brides whose height is around 155–178 cm / 5’1″–5’10”. If your height is outside this range, we recommend choosing Custom Fit.
Custom Fit — non-returnable
- Custom Fit means the dress is made according to your individual measurements.
- This option is best if your measurements do not fit one standard size, if your height is outside 155–178 cm / 5’1″–5’10”, or if you would like the dress made more closely to your body measurements from the beginning.
- After your order is placed, your personal manager will contact you with a detailed video measurement guide and measurement form. There is no need to take your measurements in advance.
- Please note that Custom Fit dresses are non-returnable, as they are made specially for you.
Maternity Sizing
- To determine your size for a maternity dress, simply measure your bust while wearing a bra.
- Please note that maternity sizes may differ slightly from your usual size due to natural body changes during pregnancy.
Extended Sizes
- Most of our gowns are available in standard sizes up to US 14 / EUR 46.
-
If your measurements are above this range, we’ll be happy to create your gown in Custom Fit — made according to your individual measurements for comfort, elegance, and a more personal fit.
How to Take Basic Measurements
Taking your measurements is simple and takes just a few minutes.
You’ll need a soft tailor’s tape measure (avoid metal ones, as they can give inaccurate results).
Follow our quick guide below — accuracy here helps us create the perfect fit for your dress.
Bust
Wear a well-fitting supportive bra, not a sports top or tank top, and measure around the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape horizontal and snug but not tight, ensuring it’s level all around.
Waist
Measure around your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your torso, just above your belly button — not where your pants usually sit.
Keep the tape horizontal and slightly loose to allow gentle breathing room.
Hips
Stand with your feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips and buttocks. Make sure the tape is straight and level, fitting snugly but not too tight.
